Party saves young prince

Memories wiped by magic

Can drink memory vials to get them back

Two wrong vials later, prince has someone else’s memories

Finally locate prince’s memory vial

Brain might explode with three sets of memories

Not worth it

Goal is to take prince to safe place

Players decide to put prince on throne directly instead

“Bet we’ll get a bonus”

Open portal to royal court

Prince regent in charge while prince ‘missing’

Hosting a party with all the lords and ladies

Party accuses regent of having the prince kidnapped

“Prove it”

Party wants prince to drink the vial

Prince afraid of brain explosion

Healer gives rousing speech

“Good men always prevail, and a kingdom needs its king”

Insane diplomacy roll

Prince is convinced

Rolls a 1 on his willpower check to absorb the memories

Prince collapses, effectively brain dead

Regent runs over

“By the gods, it really is the prince! What’s that? You want me to rule in your stead until you’ve recovered? Anything for you, your highness!”

Stares down the room

“I assume you all heard that clearly?”

Court too intimidated to deny it

Having legitimised the BBEG’s rule, party quietly steps back through the portal
